From my younger days of being a student at California baseball and softball school to now a Division 1 head coach I have always appreciated the support and connection mike has for the game. It is such a wonderful place to grow as a person, player and coach. I would not be where I am today without the guidance of many people and opportunities in my life and Mike is one of those amazing people. We all have a part in continuing to learn and grow the game and this academy helps guide those pathways for so many.

Mike is extremely knowledgeable in the craft of pitching. Knowing the proper mechanics and using the correct drills to achieve them, helped me form a solid platform to build my career. Through hours of work and repetition with Mike I was able to learn and repeat my delivery, which is key in becoming a successful pitcher. One of the best pitching coaches around, hands down!

Looking back on my successful softball career their is one name that comes to mind. Mike Lamson; Not only did he give me the tools necessary to become a great softball player but he dedicated his time to teach me how to become a hardworking, strong,respectful, and coachable female athlete. He found ways in which he challenged me as an athlete to become better each day and showed me the importance of not only respecting the game but also loving the game each and every day. I cannot thank Mike enough for leading me on the path to not only a college scholarship, but having a part in molding me into the person I am today. The skills, hard work, and dedication Mike once taught me have carried over and continued to help me become successful in my career as a Coach and Teacher today!

Mike Lamson and his pitching techniques are a standard above. I started with Mike circa 1982ish and not only did he help me get a pitching scholarship to Oregon State, but I can still throw BP 35+ years later to the High School team I coach because his technique works! As a coach, Mike gives his students, not only his knowledge but his true interest and caring for their total development as a person and athlete. I am proud to call him a friend after all this time.

Mike has been one of the top instructors in the area for a long time. He worked with me and my sister when we were in high school and gave us a foundation to build upon to help us both play at the Division 1 NCAA level. His knowledge of the game and ability to communicate and teach it is second to none. I still consider him a dear friend to this day and still apply all of his teachings into my own coaching philosophy and style. I know all the opportunities I received were a direct result of Mike and the fundamentals and work ethic he instilled in me.
