At the California Baseball and Softball School, we are committed to helping you realize your potential as a ball player and assist you in attaining your goals. We make certain you will be provided every opportunity for success with our expert instruction and our commitment to your improvement.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
On your initial visit we will study your body mechanics and current techniques to determine how we might improve on them. We develop a training program suited to your individual needs factoring in each student strengths and areas for improvement to help you become a better pitcher, hitter, or overall player.
To help you achieve your peak performance, all of our lessons are done on a one-on-one individual basis. When you decide to enroll as a student, we will find you a permanent, weekly lesson day and time. All of our lessons are by appointment only and we believe strongly in the results obtained through weekly instruction. The more you train and practice, the sooner you will see results.

Our school is designed and structured for those students who have the desire, dedication, and work ethic to improve their skills. We believe that proper training and hard work will achieve success. LOCATION AND HOURS:
We work at the Extra Innings facility in Rocklin on Mondays and the Folsom Batting Cages on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our hours are from 3:00 PM to approximately 8:00.

Your Baseball & Softball Instructors
Mike Lamson started the California Baseball & Softball School in Rancho Cordova in 1981. Lauren Conway joined our instructional staff in 2015. The school has operated continuously since that time. It is thought to be the second oldest and one to the most successful in the country. We offer the most experienced and professional instruction in pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding for baseball and softball players in all of Northern California and the United States. During the past 35 plus years, thousands of young male baseball and female softball pitchers, hitters, catchers, and fielders have received individual lesson instruction at our school. The success of our students over the past 35 years speaks for itself.
The California Baseball & Softball School has been a pioneer in the field of baseball and softball training through the establishment of one of the first all indoor, year-around training facilities in the country, although we now rent space in facilities in Rocklin and Folsom. Its founder, Mike Lamson has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and employs the principles of such in all that we do. We have provided dozens of clinics for area baseball Little Leagues and softball leagues as well as having participated in clinics in several foreign countries and across the United States. Mike Lamson has also been the principle pitching training instructor for the annual Kaiser Hospital Safety Clinic for the District 5 and District 54 Little Leagues.
